Arizona Community Health Workers Association Conference 2021 (CC-IPT)


Description
Attending conferences is an important activity that many health professionals participate in. Conferences give attendees the opportunity to expand their professional networks, learn, and share valuable knowledge and experiences with colleagues. The module requires CHW students to attend the annual Arizona Community Health Workers Association conference. Students are asked to write about their experience at the conference including, who they met, what they learned, and what knowledge they shared with their professional colleagues.

Course Topics:

1) Specific course topics will vary depending on subject of the Arizona Community Health Workers Association Conference

Learning Objectives:
1) The CHW student will understand the culture of institutions
2) The CHW student will learn how to work in ways that increase individual and community empowerment
3) The CHW student will know how to network, build community connections, and build coalitions
4) The CHW student will know how to pursue continued education and lifelong learning opportunities
5) The CHW student will understand how to participate in professional development of peer CHWs and in CHW networking groups.
